5 Reasons To Take CBD Oil On A Daily Basis

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a truly fascinating and powerful natural chemical compound that’s finally getting the public recognition (and more importantly the scientific credit) it deserves. CBD is non-psychoactive, so it is completely legal in some parts of the world, and it is growing in popularity because of its lack of harmful side effects.

CBD is found naturally in hemp and has a variety of effects throughout the body – manipulating our natural endocannabinoid system.

So, let’s take a look at some of the benefits using a CBD supplement on a regular basis can have!

It is thought that CBD may be able to reduce pain perception for certain types of pain – such as neuropathic pain. Compared to other pain relief methods, patients have found success with CBD without the harmful side effects like the potential addictiveness of opiates or the liver-damage from acetaminophen. Cannabinoids have been studied for their anti-inflammatory effects, and scientists are checking on the receptors throughout the nervous system to better understand how they work in regards to pain. It is still early days, but there may be a benefit.

A study published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology reports that from their preliminary studies "CBD has direct actions on isolated arteries, causing both acute and time-dependent vasorelaxation … A common theme throughout these studies is the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect of CBD”. They follow that up by stating that CBD even plays a role in blood health, helping the white blood cells, platelet aggregation, and even helping to maintain a steady blood sugar level.

A study published in the National Center for Biotechnology Information found that the animal subjects experienced less day-time sleepiness when medicated with CBD. While THC has been found to help with falling asleep quickly, CBD has been found to help keep the user alert throughout the day, even after some sleep deprivation.

The American Psychological Association reports that “chronic stress is linked to the six leading causes of death: heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide.”

Cannabinoids have been used to help reduce stress and increase relaxation for centuries, but finally, the science is getting to a point with preliminary and early human trials to back up all the anecdotal evidence. Another study in the NCBI shows that CBD reacts with endocannabinoid receptors 5HT1A and TRPV1 (not just the CB1/CB2 reactor like other cannabinoids). These receptors are involved in regulating pain, anxiety, and fear responses to stress. CBD has also recently been found to help patients with post-traumatic stress disorder as well for similar reasons!

CBD has been shown to reduce the production of lipids in skin cells, reducing the severity of oil production. For those suffering from skin conditions such as acne, it can offer a way to help manage the condition. At the same time, it can increase the output of sebum, preventing dry skin. CBD is also an antioxidant, allowing it to help preserve skin cells from free radical damage and environmental stress. A study that bred mice without CBD receptors found that mice showed increased aging and loss of skin elasticity.

So there you have it! CBD is a readily available dietary supplant, and initial findings suggest it has a lot to offer. It is worth noting that findings ARE initial, and CBD should not replace any prescribed regime, but the benefits it may offer from daily use may make life all that bit easier for those who use it!
